Rob lists Mario Lopez at 5'9" and while I think Lopez is 5'8.5", you can see from multiple appearances here with known footwear, Jason seems slightly taller or certainly no shorter: Click Here Statham was also at least an inch taller than Tom Cruise in Collateral and I think Cruise is about 5'7.5" or most will agree he's somewhere in the range of 171-172 cm. With that said, I also think Rob's listing is pretty likely. Van Damme also looked to just edge out Statham back in 2012 when JCVD was probably in the same weak to flat 5'9" range as Stallone. Jason Stratham is delightfully cool as the imperturbable Transporter, and Qi Shu brings us a cute face, but despite a poor command of the English language, brings a love interest/woman-in-distress role opposite Jason Statham. Snipes is more of a weak 5'9" or 5'8.75" guy, imo, but you can see him wearing Converse with Statham at several different events: Click Here So I think guessing Snipes is slightly taller is fair. I think both men could be 174 cm nowadays, but if Sly is down to 5'8.25" then Statham couldn't be any more than 5'8.5", imo. You can see Statham with a 70 year old Sly in dress shoes in my post on 29/Jul/17 and Jason's boots would have added at least as much.

It was the same thing at the Cannes press conference as well. Normally, I'd guess he was maybe 5'8.75" and shrunk to 5'8.5" at age 50, but he was only 40 with Knepper so height loss seems improbable.Īs for Sly, well they can look closer than that, but here's photos with both in similar dress shoes from four different Expendables events in 2010 when I think both were still more or less peak height: Click Here Sly tends to look taller, but usually has better posture so I'd think they'd be within 1 cm of each other.īut if anything, Sly still looked to edge out Statham with both in dress shoes even promoting the Expendables 3 in 2014: Click Here Click Here Sly might have dropped 1/4" by then, but look at them when Sly wears probably a 1" lift in an otherwise normal boot: Click Here Sly suddenly looks near 2" taller and their posture doesn't even look that different. He could also look surprisingly short with 5'10" Jude Law. However, Statham’s appearances in the bigger, more mainstream Hollywood flicks boosted his profile in terms of what was once his stock-and-trade.Rising - 174 cm said on I use to think Jason was a solid 5'9" or 175-176 cm guy who might look shorter due to posture, but yeah he does look shorter than Knepper so he's looking closer to 5'8" there.
#JASON STATHAM TRANSPORTER MOVIE#
Statham never really got his “B movie to A movie” bump, partially because Hollywood barely makes films like Total Recall, Under Siege or Cliffhanger. Those two flicks, opening amid Statham’s metaphorical promotion as an added value element in Furious 7 ($1.515 billion), Spy ($235 million) and The Meg ($530 million), are both among Statham’s biggest global-grossing action vehicles ever. That was his last “just an actioner” until now.

Mechanic: Resurrection earned $22 million domestic in late 2016 and, partially thanks to $54 million in China, $126 million global on a $40 million budget.
#JASON STATHAM TRANSPORTER WINDOWS#
This, again, in the middle of a global pandemic amid shattered theatrical windows and (allegedly) changing consumer behavior. It could end up, give or take Snatch, Statham’s third-biggest overseas-grossing solo/non-franchise action flick. With $45 million overseas and a likely finish over/under $50 million, its foreign cume will be right between (for now) Transporter 2 ($46 million), Mechanic ($48 million), Snatch ($53 million, if you choose to count it), Transporter 3 ($81 million) and Mechanic Resurrection ($104 million). I don’t know if Wrath of Man will pass Transporter 3, and it’s probably not going to top $100 million.

Now that doesn’t count his turns in The Fast Saga (villain in Furious 7, anti-hero in Fate of the Furious and good guy in Hobbs & Shaw), nor his second-only-to-Stallone turns in the Expendables trilogy, The Meg or his supporting turns in the likes of Spy, The Italian Job or Gnomeo and Juliet. Snatch is an ensemble piece and more of a gangster comedy than an actioner, but if Wrath of Man passes it that will be a moot point.
